Acrylic painting done to honor the anniversary of 9/11. Hard to believe it has been 10 years....

I can still remember watching the second tower fall as it was happening...and then staying at work while I sent all my employees home...wondering if Houston could be next...scary monsters.

I was sitting on my couch .. I watched UA 175 hit tower two. I watched both towers fall .. seeing the damage to the Pentagon and hearing of the fate of UA flight 93 near Skanksville, Pa. I kept thinking .. this is just a bad dream .. I'll wake up soon. I was overwhelmed with so many emotions .. I still at times feel those emotions to this day .. now, as I type this.

I was getting ready for work...since like you I am notoriously late...when I saw the footage of the first tower...I thought it was an attack immediately. In fact, I remember actually thinking "This is the worst attack on US soil since Pearl Harbor". Got to work and sent home the employees but I stayed behind. We were worried that Houston might be a target...it was crazy. I can recall the feeling even as I write this...just madness...
